- How do each-way place odds work?
- The place part pays at the win odds reduced by the place fraction: place odds = 1 + (win odds − 1) × fraction. At 11.0 (10/1) with 1/5 place terms, the place pays 3.0.
- Why does an each-way bet cost twice the stake?
- Each-way is two stakes — one on the win and one on the place — so the total outlay is twice the unit stake.
