Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: 8 July 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of the OddsRelay Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meaning given there. It applies to everyone who uses the Service under your account — you, your staff, your contractors, and anything acting on your API Keys. You are responsible for all use under your keys.
1. The simple version
You may use the Feed inside your own product, for your own users. You may not hand the Feed to anyone else, or try to work out or expose how we get the data.
You may:
- Use the Feed inside your own product, app, tool, or bot
- Display, compute on, transform, and alert on the Data for your users
- Cache responses transiently to run your product efficiently
- Upgrade your plan for more volume, regions, or feed types
- Ask us if you're unsure whether something is allowed
You must not:
- Resell, redistribute, or syndicate the Feed, or any substantial or repeated part of it
- Expose the Data as data through your own API, export, webhook, or bulk download
- Build, seed, benchmark, or train a competing feed, dataset, or model
- Share, sell, pool, or proxy API Keys, or relay requests for others
- Reverse-engineer our sources or methods, or bypass limits or controls
- Use the Feed for unlicensed gambling or any unlawful purpose
2. Permitted use
You may:
- consume the Feed inside your own product (app, dashboard, tool, bot, or workflow) to serve your own End Users;
- display, transform, and compute on the Data inside your product (for example, matched opportunities, calculators, and alerts);
- cache responses transiently, as needed to operate your product efficiently and within your freshness and rate limits — not for re-supply; and
- show your End Users outputs derived from the Data as part of your product.
The dividing line is simple: inside your product, for your users — not handing the Feed to someone else.
3. Prohibited use
3.1 No redistribution or resale (the core rule)
You must not:
- resell, redistribute, syndicate, republish, sublicense, broker, or share the Feed (or any substantial or repeated part) with any third party;
- expose the Data as data via your own API, feed, export, webhook, or bulk download;
- share, sell, or pool API Keys, or proxy or relay requests for others; or
- use the Feed to seed, populate, benchmark, or train a competing odds dataset, feed, model, or data product.
3.2 No reverse-engineering or probing our sources and methods
You must not attempt to discover, reconstruct, reverse-engineer, or publish our:
- data sources (which bookmakers or exchanges, or how they're accessed);
- collection methods; or
- matching or processing logic.
These are confidential trade secrets, and you must not represent that you have access to them.
3.3 No abuse of the Service
You must not:
- exceed your rate or usage limits;
- scrape or bulk-extract outside the documented API;
- circumvent authentication, rate limiting, or other technical controls;
- act in a way that threatens the security, stability, or integrity of the Service or other clients; or
- remove or alter notices or controls.
3.4 No unlawful use
You must not use the Feed to:
- operate, or help anyone operate, an unlicensed or unregulated gambling business in any jurisdiction where a licence is required;
- breach any gambling, advertising, consumer-protection, age-verification (18+), anti-money-laundering, sanctions, or data-protection law that applies to you or your End Users;
- provide services to minors or to persons in prohibited or sanctioned jurisdictions; or
- carry out official-data-dependent bet settlement without holding the necessary rights.
4. Limits and fair use
Your rate limits and key or seat counts are set in your Order. They exist to keep the Service fast and fair for everyone. If you need more volume, regions, or feed types, that's a plan upgrade — not a workaround. Persistent or deliberate breach of limits may lead to throttling, suspension, or a required plan change.
5. Data accuracy — not advice
The Data is provided "as is" and may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. It is data, not betting, financial, or legal advice, and is not a recommendation to place any bet. No profit, arbitrage, or matched-betting outcome is guaranteed. You must not present OddsRelay data to your End Users as advice from OddsRelay or as a guarantee of profit. (See clause 12 of the Terms.)
6. Monitoring and enforcement
We may monitor usage (for example, request logs and usage rollups) to check compliance with this AUP and your limits. Where we find a breach, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate access under the Terms. Serious breaches — including resale, reverse-engineering, and unlawful use — are material breaches, may be acted on immediately and without refund, and may trigger the indemnity in the Terms.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. We'll give reasonable notice of material adverse changes. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept them.
