How it works
These offers double your winnings if your first goalscorer scores twice, and treble them for a hat-trick. Back the player as first goalscorer at the bookmaker and lay them at the exchange. The calculator gives the lay stake, the qualifying loss and the result for a second goal or a hat-trick.
Worked through
A £10 first goalscorer bet at 6.0, laid at 6.4 with 2% commission.
| It shows | Value |
|---|---|
| Lay stake | £9.40 |
| Liability | £50.78 |
| Rating | 93.75% |
| Player scores first | -£0.78 |
| Player doesn't score first | -£0.78 |
| Double Delight | £49.22 |
| Hat-trick Heaven | £99.22 |
Scoring first or not, the matched bet finishes on -£0.78. If the player scores first and then again, the offer doubles the bookmaker's winnings and the result is £49.22, after the lay's £50.78 liability. With a hat-trick it trebles them and the result is £99.22. Those two figures apply in those finishes only.
Questions
Which market is laid?
The exchange's first goalscorer market, for the same player backed at the bookmaker, with that exchange's commission.
What if the player scores, but not first?
The offer needs the player to score first, so a later goal leaves the back bet lost and the lay won. The result is the qualifying loss, the Player Doesn't Score First figure.
