Oddsmatcher
An oddsmatcher pairs bookmaker back prices with exchange lay prices and rates them, so a matched bettor can find the lowest-risk qualifying bets.
In a matched-betting tool, the oddsmatcher is the table at the centre. Each line is one selection with a bookmaker back price beside an exchange lay price, and the closer the two are, the less it costs to cover a qualifying bet. The table puts the cheapest options at the top and links to both bookmakers' pages.
The score beside each line is the tool's own arithmetic, and the feed carries no rating field. A common form divides the back price by the lay price, so backing at 3.0 and laying at 3.1 scores 96.77. Commission-aware versions work out the qualifying loss instead, at the user's own exchange rate, and a free-bet mode sorts on the share of the free bet kept, since its stake is not returned.
Building one from nothing means collecting prices from each bookmaker yourself and lining every selection up with its exchange market, however each bookmaker spells the fixture. With the pairs supplied, the tool is the interface and the calculators around them.
In the OddsRelay feed
OddsRelay supplies the pairs. GET /v2/odds/standard returns each outcome with back[] sorted best price first and lay sorted lowest price first, so back[0].price against lay[0].price is the closest pair in price on that selection, and lay[0].available is the money available at that lay price. The sports, bookmakers, exchanges and markets filters cut the reply to a user's own accounts and interests, and each offer's link opens the bookmaker's page for the event.
The racing and offer modes read other feed types. Each-way and extra-place outcomes carry place terms on every back offer and a lay split into win and place, bog and 2up cover their own offers, and dutching supplies back-only legs grouped by dutch_id.
Age is the other thing a useful table shows. meta.processed_at is the response's time and meta.last_seen gives each bookmaker's and exchange's last read per sport, so every line can carry how old its prices are.
